CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT

On-line courses taken through Radiologic Science at Midwestern State University qualify for MRT credit required by the State of Texas Department of Health. Each of the on-line courses below represents 3 semester hours of college credits; therefore, each course is equivalent to 45 clock hours of continuing education credit.

You are probably aware, however, that continuing education points cannot be carried forward into a subsequent time period. Consequently, a maximum of 24 of the 45 continuing education points can be credited to recertification by completing one course. Also, the following rules apply to continuing education credits for a 2 year time period.

(1) At least 12 points must be obtained from directly related topics.
(2) No more than 12 points can be obtained from indirectly related topics.

All completed courses are worth 48 Category A ASRT continuing education credits which can be used to satisfy ARRT requirements.
