CHECKLIST to Start the B.S.R.S. Program

  1.                 You must have access to the Internet and a valid e-mail account to complete this program.

  1.       Apply to Midwestern State University on-line.

·         Be sure to read through the MSU admissions requirements.

  1.      Send official transcripts to the Midwestern State University Admissions Office.     

v     Official transcripts are those which are sent directly from the issuing institution to our Admissions Office.  They must be original and not copies.

v     Transcripts must be received from all institutions attended. An on-line transcript request form is available for you to fill out and print so that the proper information is received by our Admissions Office.

v     THEA-To determine if you have met THEA criteria, please read the information concerning this requirement carefully.

  1.   Orientation

There are several different orientations available to help you understand the university, the Radiologic Science Programs, and on-line courses - The first two must be completed before you can register.

5.   Choose your courses.

v     Go to the Courses page to see Radiologic Science B.S. course offerings by semester.

v     Go to the Semester Calendar to see the dates and times for registration.

v     You will need your MSU ID number in order to register.   Please call 1-866-575-4305 to speak to a faculty advisor who can give you this information.    It is helpful if you provide a working e-mail address to give to your advisor; however, your MSU student email address will be used to send you course information.   Please remember to forward your MSU email to your primary email address if different from your MSU student email account.

v     When registration is available, go to the Registration page on the MSU web site and follow the instructions. 

v     BSRS students who are registering for the first time, must register during the regular registration period.  Late registration is not available to new students.

v     If you are enrolling in a course that has a clinical or laboratory component, you must have completed your immunization requirements prior to enrollment.  See Immunizations  for details.

  1. Begin your course work.

·         You will not have access to the course materials until the 1st class day or until 48 hours after late registration (for continuing students only) during the semester.

·         To gain an understanding of how the on-line courses work, visit the B.S.R.S. WebCT Courses page.

·         Please call your instructor if you are not able to access WebCT/Blackboard by the end of the first week of class.  Be sure the instructor has accurate contact information.

·         Please read all course information and pay attention to specific deadlines for assignments, withdrawal, etc. 

·         Contact your instructor if you have any questions or problems.

  1. Testing Procedures

No on-campus testing is required for Radiologic Science B.S. courses.

v     Each course may have different types and numbers of exams.   Course instructors can provide this information.

v     Off-campus testing is done by proctor.  Students must arrange for a testing proctor.  See the Proctor Application or contact the course instructor for details.
