Martin Hall – Home for Health and Public Administration at MSU

A Note from the Chair:

The Faculty and Staff of the Department of Health and Public Administration extend a warm welcome to you, and are delighted to help you pursue your academic and professional career.

There are a limited number of graduate merit scholarships available to our students.

Our graduate programs in Health Services Administration and Public Administration are designed to provide students with the skills needed to function as effective leaders in a challenging environment.  Through a wide range of program tracks students learn core and specialized competencies in Health Administration and/or Public Administration that are vital to their professional development.

The graduate programs in Health Services Administration are MHA, MBA-HSAD, MSN-HSAD, MPA-HSAD, and a Graduate Certificate in HSAD.  The Master of Public Administration curriculum offers tracks in General Studies, Administration of Justice, Health Administration, and a Thesis option.  Through these programs we provide options for students to meet a variety of professional needs in both traditional education and distance education formats.

Masters in Public Administration (MPA)

The MPA program is approved for Distance Education formats.  All domestic MPA students taking the Internet Course option are eligible for instate tuition.

Masters in Health Administration (MHA)

All MHA students are required to register in section 01 classes.  MHA students must be Texas residents to automatically qualify for instate tuition.

Under the MHA program, classes have scheduled face to face meetings at the beginning and at the end of the fall and spring semesters.  All students are required to attend these meetings. The remaining class activities for HSA courses are conducted on line.

International students
must attend additional face-to-face classes throughout the semester.  These sessions have been developed to enable international students to meet their visa requirements.
